Well, let’s just say that I’ve been scammed so many times now, that being positive is hard. I’ve tried pay per click….it’s just not worth the money. Some companies are willing to pay $12.00 for one click, well, just starting out, I simply can’t afford those numbers.

Some marketers suggest forums. Well, I’ve tried that too. Somehow my small messages and small link back to my site get lost in those thousands upon thousands of pages. It is way too labor intensive and not something I want to spend my day at.

If god would smile upon me and place me at the top of the search engines, I guess I would have nothing to complain about. Hopefully, I will get there. I’m not a millionaire now, but I know eventually, I will be. It’s just a matter of time.

OK, let’s get back on track, or should I say traffic. Now that I told you pay per click is a waste of money and forums are a waste of time, how do you get traffic. Well, you could blog, but that would only work if you have scores of traffic going to your blog. Press releases are another suggestion, but most of those sites cost money, to me I would just rather write a free article.

Social bookmarking can be effective, but it’s other people who need to bookmark you, so if they don’t get to your site, how can they know you are there?? MySpace or Facebook, again you are only reaching a limited number of people. Sure after you get going it can be a way to boost your traffic, but first we need to get started.

What I have come to learn is that article marketing is perhaps one of the cheapest, fastest and best ways to getting targeted traffic. Your reading this now aren’t you? Guess what, this is article marketing. Depending on which sites you submit to, you can potentially get hundreds and thousands of visitors per day, in less than one month. I know this from experience. Don’t just believe me here…TRY IT. Really, it sort of depends on how many articles you write.

Ezine articles are perhaps one of the most well loved sites for submitting articles to and also have some of the highest standards. What I suggest is writing your articles submitting it there. If it gets approved, you can submit it to other sites.

You can get some free submitters that will submit your article to a number of directories. Usually, if it’s free it is some kind of software that runs on your computer. The up side is that it’s free and it can help to automate the submission process which makes less work for you.

There is a downside, but. These submitters hold static information for only about 100-200 sites. The sites they have are general article directories with no specific topic in mind. Search engines will rank these lower than category specific sites. Also, it will be the exact same article on each and every site. Again, not something the search engines particularly like.
